Thank you to everyone who showed up for our Diversity & Inclusion Mixer today. It was a great success, with engaging conversation and uplifting community. The sharing and interaction at events like this is really one of the great things about working at UT.
I wanted to update you that we have cancelled our monthly Staff Council meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow. As you know, it is important for us to have speakers for our meetings present on topics that have broad impact at UT, because Staff Council represents staff in many different positions. As you also well know, our leadership and many others are putting a great deal of effort into "developing business continuity and contingency plans should the coronavirus situation elevate." In other words, people are busy - far more busy than normal. It therefore made sense to us to give everyone back this time in their schedules.
I look forward to "seeing you" at our April monthly meeting, which will be held virtually (April 16, 2:00 - 3:30 pm).
