Please join us at the July 18, 2024 UT Staff Council General Meeting this Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 2-3:30 p.m.

Please note: You will need to register for this meeting. Registering for the UTSC General Meeting will be the norm moving forward.

We have transitioned from Zoom Webinar to Teams Webinar. You will still be able to submit questions anonymously.

Featured speakers

  • Kelly Lomasney, Principal Human Resources Consultant and Interim Director of Benefits and Leave Management
  • Roger Cude, Vice President of People and Talent

In alignment with UTSC’s core value to create a sense of community by collaborating effectively with campus partners, meeting attendees are expected to communicate in a respectful manner with our invited guests.

I appreciate those of you have taken time to submit an issue related to 'Return to On-Site Work.' We have received close to 600 issue submissions regarding the 'Return to On-Site Work' policy and its impact, as well as suggestions and questions; 99% of the total number of issues submitted expressed concerns. The UT Staff Council Officers have shared your feedback with Roger Cude. I hope that you will be able to join us for Thursday's General Meeting, during which Roger will speak to 'Return to On-Site Work.'

News and Additional Opportunities

1) Document Solutions Now Open in the Former USPS West Mall Location
Our Document Solutions colleagues have relocated from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work to the former USPS West Mall location (306 Inner Campus Drive). They will be offering "...a full suite of mail, copying, printing, and business services to the UT community and public."

2) HealthPoint & Benefits Fairs in July 2024
Our HealthPoint colleagues are hosting benefits fairs this month: two in-person (one at Pickle Research Campus and one at Gregory Gym) and one virtual. Staff and faculty are permitted to use work time to participate in the HealthPoint & Benefits Fair. Please register in advance.

3) Blanton Museum Free Admission
This is a friendly reminder that UT ID holders (that's you!) are offered free admission to the Blanton Museum. Also, through Labor Day (Monday, September 2, 2024), free admission is offered to active-duty military personnel and family members as part of the Blue Star Museum program.

Please feel free to reach out to any of the Staff Council Officers if you ever have questions or concerns.  You can also submit an issue for Staff Council to research via our 'Submit an Issue' link found at the top of every Staff Council web page at https://staffcouncil.utexas.edu. Issues may be submitted anonymously.
