Please make plans to attend Staff Council's monthly General Meeting on Thursday, October 21 from 2:00- 3:30pm. Our committee chairs/co-chairs will be briefing us about their respective committee's foci this term.
It was an honor to represent Staff Council at President Hartzell's Inauguration. The gavel I handed President Hartzell is referred to as The University of Texas Gavel of Office and was crafted years ago by skilled staff members in Facilities Services. The gavel is a symbolic reminder of how staff member talent and dedication support and advance the university's mission each and every day and is emblematic of the president's responsibility for the care and well-being of all employees.
During his speech, President Hartzell noted that conversations are "...shaping our shared vision for the university and our strategy for our next decade of growth." You can add your voice to the conversation and share your ideas for how to transform the university using this input form.
