Please join us at the February UT Staff Council General Meeting this Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 2-3:30 p.m. We are looking forward to meeting and engaging with Executive Vice President and Provost Rachel Mersey and to hearing from EAP Manager Amber Hunter-Crawford about the importance of sleep and helpful tools to support us.

News and Additional Opportunities
1) Child Development Center Expanding Enrollment Eligibility Initiative GREAT NEWS! The Child Development Center is expanding enrollment eligibility in a pilot program. Full-time students, faculty, and staff of the University are now able to add their grandchildren to the waitlist with Tier Two priority. 2) Records and Information Management (RIM) Month As employees at a state institution, we are responsible for managing our records according to state law and University of Texas policy, and our colleagues in RIMS are here to help! Join RIMS colleagues in April for RIM Month 2025 featuring virtual and in-person sessions on learning RIM fundamentals, managing email and other electronic records, making use of metadata in SharePoint, and creating an inventory of your department’s records. 3) Support Students in the Dell Medical School's Health Leadership Apprentice Program Please consider filling out this short survey to support the work students in the Dell Medical School are engaged in to further efforts to enhance campus safety. Data you provide about your awareness of the locations of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) will contribute towards efforts to improve emergency preparedness on campus. The survey is accessible via this link.
4) Operation Naloxone Open Training (February 27, 2025) SHIFT team colleagues invite you to attend their Operation Naloxone Open Training on Thursday, February 27th from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Gregory Gym Games Room (GRE 3.120). This training is open to all UT Austin students, faculty, and staff. The training will cover the following: understanding the current landscape of opioid use; learning about opioid overdose signs and symptoms; learning how to respond to an opioid overdose, and how to use naloxone nasal spray.
