An Eye on Staff-Centered Opportunities: January-February 2020

I hope you are all off to a great spring semester, and I wanted to make sure you are aware of some great upcoming opportunities.

Lunch with the President: The next Staff Lunch with the President is scheduled for February 17th at 11:30 am.  Please submit an entry form to be one of the group selected to join this amazing opportunity to participate in a small-group discussion (and enjoy lunch!) with President Fenves.  The deadline for entries is midnight on January 30th.

Waller Creek Clean-Up: This is a special Waller Creek Clean-Up effort for UT staff and faculty, scheduled for January 24th at 11:30 am. If you would like to join in, please RSVP here, and meet at the Mustang statue at San Jacinto and 24th streets.

EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Presentations and Opportunities:

  • Increasing Your Personal Resilience, February 4th, 9:00 - 10:30 am.
  • Preventing Burnout and Increasing Engagement, January 28th, 9:00 - 10:30 am.
  • Reducing Compassion Fatigue in the Workplace, Contact EAP to schedule individualized session for your office.  "This training is for workgroups to be able to understand the common reactions to working with others in high distress, recognize early the signs of compassion fatigue, and have practical steps to reduce compassion fatigue."
  • Recharge Open House: February 19th, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.  "Get ideas for healthy eating, physical activity, and sleep to help you stay “fully charged.”"  For more information, and to RSVP, please follow this link.
